This series presents portraits of a couple, the artist’s great-grandparents, husband and wife photographed individually, separated and imprisoned in their period frames, displayed in a sequence that emphasizes the difficulty of their gazes to meet, the impossibility of fully sharing emotions, fears, desires and aspirations with each other. *
