The Mental Journey traces ideas of home and belonging through 99 images exchanged between Eastern immigrants and their families “back home” via instant-messaging applications. Collected from personal conversations, these photographs form an intimate archive of everyday life, distance, and emotional connection. Displayed across three screens embedded in wooden columns, the work reflects the fragmented yet continuous nature of long-distance communication and memory.
