Never, Soon, Often, Someday explores time, desire, and life expectations through the landscape of the Upper Engadine. Inspired by the great-grandmother’s diary of the artist, where plucking marigold petals turns questions into possible answers, d’Auria retraces her ancestor’s fields, creating a dialogue between past and present imaginaries.

She frames modest landscapes as quiet oracular spaces for reflection. Fields and flowers, repeatedly revisited, become active witnesses to layered time: eternal yet shifting, open to projection. As silent mirrors, they reflect the desires and concerns of those who look at them.

Conceived as a textual continuation of If I close my eyes I see the mountain, the project turns to young women as contemporary sibyls, holding the future in a fragile balance between hope, intimacy, and openness to the unknown.
